KatzeHelp save Katze !!!!!

The story.......

Hey everyone,
We live in Chengdu and our study time here is almost over. Since November of last year we have been raising a cat that we found on the street. She has had proper check-ups and has been steralized. She is a house broken, very intelligent house cat. Unfortunately we have to leave in one month, 27th July, and have no possibility in taking her with us. Now we have been searching for someone who would be willing to take her after we leave. If there's any one in the Chengdu area who would be interested in haveing a cute cat to keep him/her company, please give us a call. Phone number: Matt: 15208328325, Lisa: 15184432695

Chengdu was founded in 316 BC during the late Warring States Period. By the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) the city was considered a cornerstone of Chinese Society. Like other major Chinese cities, the place has had its share of turmoil.

First it was devastated by the Mongols in retaliation over the fighting put up by the Sihuanese during the Kahn's Yuan Dynasty. From 1644 to 1647 it was presided over by rebel Zhang Xiangzhou, who set up an independent state in Sichuan, ruling by terror and mass executions.

The name 'Chengdu' means Perfect Metropolis and todays Chengdu is certainly is one of China's best examples of city design. The streets are wide and straight, the city one of the cleanest in China, and also one of the quietest.

Chengdu is by no means just a stop on your way to Tibet. It is a whole destination in and of itself. It offers some of the best teahouses, budget accomodations, cusine and wildlife available in China, so set your luggage down and stay a while.

Wildlife

Chengdu is not just Pandas.

The Panda bears cousin the Red Panda (or Small Panda) is also one of Chengdu's wildlife attractions.

Red Pandas tend to live in the trees and are fairly similar to a raccoon. They can be very dossile and there are many opportunities to handle them yourself.

Chengdu has good quality zoos and safari parks with all the local wildlife. Check GoChinaSites listings on Parks and Zoos.
